Dr. Dre received a Hollywood Walk of Fame star on Tuesday (March 19).
Dre's friends Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, and Eminem attended his 2,775th star ceremony.
“Growing up in Compton, I never imagined that I would one day be represented here among some of my childhood heroes,” Dre remarked at the star-studded event, Billboard reported.
“I get to do what I love for a living. How about that? Wasn't that the dream? Dre asked crowd. “Over my career, I've had the privilege of finding and nurturing new talent and pushing hip-hop's content and substance boundaries.”
Dre's star will live beside Snoop in front of Jimmy Kimmel's Hollywood Blvd. studio.
I'm most pleased of improving hip-hop sound and clarity. At the Tuesday event, Dre added, "Getting that thing right is one of my greatest achievements."

“Dr. Dre’s contributions to the music industry are undeniable and have left an indelible mark on popular culture,” said Hollywood Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez.
Dr. Dre has pushed boundaries and set new standards as a producer, rapper, and entrepreneur. The statement said they were proud to give him a Walk of Fame star for his remarkable career and contribution.
Martinez said, “Dr. Dre’s star will serve as a lasting symbol of his immense talent and enduring legacy in the world of music.” The star will live in front of Jimmy Kimmel's Hollywood Blvd. studio.
