Justin Timberlake Charged with DWI – Released from Police Custody

(CNN) — Attorney: Justin Timberlake was arraigned on one count of driving while drunk and freed from New York police.

Police said the singer was “operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition” in Sag Harbor, New York, at 12:37 a.m. Tuesday. Sag Harbor Police say Timberlake, driving a 2025 BMW, failed to stop at a stop sign and maintain his lane.

Police arrested Timberlake after a traffic stop and kept him overnight for arraignment. His attorney Ed Burke told CNN he was ticketed for running a stop sign and not staying in his lane.

Timberlake was freed without bond and has a July 26 court appearance.

Sag Harbor is a Hamptons town on eastern Long Island. An insider said Timberlake departed the American Hotel before his arrest.

Timberlake is touring with his latest album, “Everything I Thought It Was.” His next concert is Friday at the United Center in Chicago. Timberlake posted an Instagram homage to his two boys and Father's Day plans over the weekend.

“My 2 greatest gifts. I learn about myself every day because you selected me as your dad. I will support you through all your ups and downs... to raise you and show you how high life can go, and to pick you up when you fall. Of course, to bombard you with Dad-jokes. I adore you both. Thanks for giving me my largest purpose, Timberlake wrote. Let's play a game to relax and watch the US Open final round with Dad.

Timberlake, 43, married Jessica Biel, a producer and actress. Silas, 9, and Phineas, 3, are their children from their 2012 marriage.
