With a video posted to his Instagram account, Drake revealed extensive flooding at The Embassy, his 50,000-square-foot house in Toronto.
The brief video shows the home's water running through unclean, brownish water. The words displayed on the screen said, "This better be Espresso Martini."
According to USA Today, flash flooding occurred in sections of Toronto on Tuesday after more than four inches of rain fell on the city. Approximately 3,200 Toronto Hydro customers were still without electricity on Wednesday. Road restrictions were also caused by the inundation.
The authorities instructed citizens to contact 311 to report flooding in their basements.
"Always prioritize your health and well-being when doing basement flood cleanup. The city of Toronto advised residents to seek expert assistance rather than standing in floodwaters.
The effects of the floods "won't be known until the water recedes in the coming days," according to the city.
Drake stated to Architectural Digest in 2020 that his house was designed to survive a long period, far longer than his own life.
Drake stated to the magazine, "I wanted the structure to stand firm for 100 years because I was building it in my hometown." "I wanted the scale and feel to be monumental." It has to be robust and ageless since it will be among the things I leave behind.
While this was going on, some made light of the ongoing rap feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar by connecting the two. One X/Twitter user said, "Kendrick Lamar not recycling so global warming floods Drake's mansion," with the comment that "He might really be the GOAT."
"Floods have hit Drake's home too after Kendrick Lamar hit him left, right, and center in his diss songs like 'Not Like Us,'" said another.
