Nicki Minaj Hit with $5 Million Defamation Lawsuit from Fan
After an incident with her husband, a Nicki Minaj fan is suing the artist for damaging his reputation and inflicting mental anguish on him.

The basis of Tameer Peak's $5 million complaint against Nicki is her claimed years-long defamation of him, which hurt his reputation among her fan base. Peak claims that their friendship fell up in 2017 after Minaj called him and other fans "paid moles" who were trying to ruin her career.

According to TMZ, Nicki apparently wrote, "It's clear they're not necessarily, you know, a full basket umm at the picnic," during one of their sessions. Peak interpreted that as a sign of mental instability or intellectual weakness. In another, he claims Nicki implied he was on assistance by calling him "one sandwich short of a picnic" and claiming he was getting a check from the government.

Peak additionally alleges that Minaj physically attacked him at an event in 2020 and made fun of him in front of thousands of spectators during an Instagram Live session.

Peak is requesting payment for the monetary loss and psychological suffering he endured as a result of Minaj's purported behavior.

In response to the complaint, Minaj's lawyer Judd Burstein stated, "Mr. Peak has been harassing Nicki on social media for years on end without success."

Burstein said to TMZ, "He has now advanced to trying to financially exploit her by making blatantly false accusations and baseless legal defenses." When he is obligated by California law to pay her legal bills, he will regret taking this dishonest path.

In similar news, a YouTuber who referred to the hip-hop artist as a "cokehead" in a 2022 video was just resolved with Nicki Minaj.

In a video that she uploaded at the time, well-known YouTuber Marley Green, better known online as Nosey Heaux, stated, "We all know it's true" that the hip-hop artist is a cokehead.

According to court filings, Green has apologized for making false assertions about Nicki Minaj taking cocaine and has acknowledged making false comments about it as part of the settlement deal. She also promised not to falsely accuse Nicki or her kid in the future.

Although Nicki Minaj did not get any punitive damages, the settlement stipulates that Green will have to pay the rapper $50,000 any time she breaks any of the four defamation clauses. Here are further details regarding the settlement.
