The hitmaker of "Before I Let Go" with his band Maze, Frankie Beverly, passed away. He was seventy-seven.
His family made the announcement of his passing on Wednesday on the official Frankie Beverly and Maze Facebook page. 
"Grieving the loss of a loved one is a deeply personal and emotional experience," the family stated. We respectfully request for your understanding and privacy at this time as we go through feelings of grief, introspection, and recollection. This will provide us the time and space to grieve in our own manner. We are in a recovery stage right now, and we appreciate your understanding that we need time alone to remember our beloved Howard Stanley Beverly, well known as Frankie Beverly."
