Chris Paul is settling comfortably into life after basketball — and according to him, he doesn’t miss the NBA at all. Months after announcing his retirement on February 13 following a 21‑year career, Paul opened up about his new chapter during a Thorne wellness event in New York.

Paul said that while he still loves the game, he doesn’t long for the grind of professional play.

“I’ll always love the game… but I don’t miss that aspect of it. No, I don’t miss it.”

What he does miss, he admitted, is the camaraderie with teammates and the thrill of competition. But those feelings don’t outweigh the joy he’s found in spending time with family — something his NBA schedule rarely allowed.

A Firm “No” on a Comeback

When asked whether he might return midseason, Paul laughed:

“Hell, no.”

His days are now filled with family milestones he once had to skip. He recently celebrated his father’s 66th birthday — the first time in over two decades he wasn’t tied up in training camp. He’s also serving as an assistant coach at his son’s high school.

New Projects Beyond the Court

Paul is preparing to launch a new basketball show designed to teach fans deeper aspects of the game. He credits his longevity in the league to a strict health routine and long‑term use of Thorne products.

Leaving the Clippers Behind

Paul’s final NBA season ended abruptly when the Los Angeles Clippers sent him home in December 2025. He announced his retirement two months later. When asked about the team’s cap‑circumvention scandal, Paul shut down the topic:

“I ain’t playing no more. That don’t got nothing to do with me.”

“I’ve Always Been More Than a Basketball Player”

Reflecting on his transition, Paul said retirement has allowed him to grow in ways he couldn’t during his NBA career.

“I retired from basketball, right? But I feel like I’ve always been so much more than just a basketball player.”

After two decades, 12 All‑Star selections, and a legacy as one of the greatest point guards in NBA history, Chris Paul is embracing a new identity — one centered on family, mentorship, and life beyond the hardwood.
