Chloe And Omah Lay Paired For New Single 'Company' with Clean Bandit Label

Clean Bandit have unveiled “Company,” a new single with Chlöe and Omah Lay that marks the beginning of the Grammy‑winning group’s next musical chapter. The track is the first preview of their upcoming studio album, set for release in 2027 through their independent label, CB X.

A Three‑World Collaboration

“Company” blends Clean Bandit’s signature electronic‑classical production with Chlöe’s pop‑R&B power and Omah Lay’s Afro‑fusion style. The song explores desire, isolation and the longing for connection, pairing crisp rhythms with expressive vocal runs and Omah Lay’s unmistakable tone.

Grace Chatto said the collaboration feels “summery and happy,” praising Chlöe’s energy and ad‑libs. The partnership has roots stretching back years: Chatto first met Chlöe in Toronto, while Clean Bandit have been writing with Omah Lay for nearly half a decade.

Omah Lay recalled meeting Chatto and Jack Patterson in 2022, when they wrote together at Patterson’s home. Although “Company” came later, the creative bond formed during those sessions helped shape the new release.

A Clean Bandit‑Directed Video

The music video adds another layer of the group’s identity. Written and directed by Grace Chatto and Jack Patterson—who also edited the film—the visual was shot last month inside a former state hospital in Los Angeles. Its muted palette and stark setting contrast intentionally with the song’s vibrant feel.

Award‑winning choreographer and performance artist Maggz created architectural dance sequences that interact with the abandoned building. Chatto reached out to Maggz by chance, only to discover she had just arrived in Los Angeles with a one‑way ticket. With Chlöe and Omah Lay also in town, the team quickly assembled to shoot the video.

CB X: A New Creative Home

“Company” is Clean Bandit’s second release on CB X, the label they launched to support collaborations with both established and emerging artists. The imprint expands the creative philosophy the group has followed since forming in Cambridge in 2008—merging strings, electronic production, dance music and visual storytelling.

Their collaborative history includes work with Jess Glynne, Zara Larsson, Sean Paul, Anne‑Marie, Demi Lovato, Ellie Goulding, Mabel, Julia Michaels, Rita Ora, David Guetta, Rema and more. CB X gives them greater control over these partnerships and the music they create.

The label’s first release, “I Don’t Wanna Hurt You” with Biig Piig, set the tone with strings, plucked arpeggios and a 2‑step rhythm supporting Biig Piig’s soft, melancholic vocals.

A Glimpse of the 2027 Album

Clean Bandit’s upcoming album remains under wraps—no title, no tracklist—but “Company” signals the direction: a fusion of British electronic pop, contemporary R&B and Nigerian Afro‑fusion. With Chlöe and Omah Lay leading the way, the single offers the first look into the collaborative world Clean Bandit are building for 2027.
